Care Trust Background

D&G Care Trust is an award winning organisation, established as a charity in 1988. It's aims were to improve the quality of life for adults with learning and mobility difficulties. It was started by the Health Board and Social Services and the first Chairman was also the Chairman of the Health Board.

In 1990 a new Chairman and a board of voluntary Trustees were appointed to run and administer the Trust. This had been the aim from the Trusts first inception.

Over the years we have seen many changes, but our aims are still the same and we know that many individuals have benefited from our specialist care.

The Trust is managed by a board of Trustees who voluntarily give their time and experience to develop and maintain the work we do.

If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer or board member please contact us for more information.

The Trust presently runs the following project:

  • The Gardening & Woodwork Project  enables persons with learning difficulties to do supervised work at selected gardening and forestry sites.
