Gardening & Woodwork

The Gardening & Woodwork Project aims to improve the quality of life for adults with learning difficulties through providing work in gardens, local forests and council / housing association properties.

The squads carry out work in Dumfries and Galloway, five days a week, throughout the year.

We have contracts with Loreburn Housing, Forestry Commission, Key Housing and DGFirst.

Recent projects include work with the Forestry Commission and maintenance of old burial grounds. There are currently three squads working with three supervisors. The project provides opportunities for around 40 adults. If you have a relative or care for someone with learning disabilities who might like to attend the Caretrust you can contact us on 01387 247580 for more information
